John McCorvey III

John McCorvey III is the Founder and CEO of Stonegate Digital Capital Group, which is a private equity firm with holdings in a family of cryptocurrency investment management companies and blockchain technology businesses. Mr. McCorvey is also the Founder and CEO of Stonegate Global, a diversified financial services company. The Stonegate Global family of companies provides investment fund formation and administration, offshore trust formation and administration, as well as technology solutions for offshore and domestic investment funds, including hedge funds, cryptocurrency funds, commodity pools, venture capital funds, private equity funds, asset based lending funds, credit funds and real estate funds. Serving institutional investment managers and sponsors, high-net worth and institutional investors, Stonegate Global also provides an online advertising platform, The platform advertises a range of alternative investment products in real estate, cryptocurrencies, private equity, hedge funds and other alternative investments, in connection with issuers’ 506c offerings.

Mr. McCorvey has over 23 years of experience serving private clients in the alternative and institutional investments industry. Mr. McCorvey began his institutional investment career in 1994 as a financial analyst for the Florida State Board of Administration, the now ~$150 billion pension fund for the state of Florida, performing analysis for multiple portfolios for the fund’s assets which then totaled approximately $65 billion. Mr. McCorvey was the senior vice president of Neovest, which was subsequently sold to JP Morgan in 2005. Mr. McCorvey served as the senior vice president of MadisonGrey, (which, at the time was Bank of Butterfield’s domestic Hedge Fund Administration business) where he led the firm’s growth from approximately $100 million assets under administration to approximately $2 billion until 2007 upon founding Stonegate Global.

Mr. McCorvey has been cited in various publications, including HFMWeek, Acquisitions International, Global Custodian, Securities Technology Monitor, Institutional Investor, Clearing Quarterly, and Hedge Fund Marketing Alliance. Mr. McCorvey is also a speaker on investment radio and at hedge fund and family office conferences.

Mr. McCorvey studied investment management at Harvard Business School, successfully completing the Private Equity and Venture Capital program. As a 1994 ACC Academic All-American, Mr. McCorvey holds a BS in finance with a minor in economics from Florida State University, and was a member of the 1993 Florida State University Seminoles National Championship Football Team under legendary Coach Bobby Bowden.

Anthony Caselli

Chief Operating Officer

Anthony Caselli currently serves as the CFO and COO for Stonegate Digital Capital Group, which is a private equity firm that owns a family of cryptocurrency investment management companies and other related blockchain technology businesses. Mr. Caselli most recently served as the Chief Financial Officer for MainLine West, a hedge fund group in Denver, Colorado. In that capacity, he oversaw the firm’s expansion from $60mm in AUM to over $250mm in AUM. Mr. Caselli was instrumental in the growth team as well as stream lining operational processes to allow for the company’s expansion. Prior to MainLine, he worked at Spicer Jeffries, a hedge fund audit and taxation firm in Greenwood Village, Colorado. During his time at Spicer Jeffries, Mr. Caselli opened the company’s second office in Palm Beach Gardens and oversaw the day-to-day operations of the new office. Mr. Caselli is a graduate of the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado, at Boulder where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration with dual emphasis in Finance and Accounting.

Charles Peterson

Co-Founder / Managing Director

Charles Petersen began his Wall Street career in 2000 as an analyst on a corporate bond trading desk. While on Wall Street, he directed investments and managed risk in trading accounts that, in certain cases, exceeded $1 billion. He also advised multi-billion dollar hedge fund, mutual fund and pension fund clients as to the suitability of specific investments for their portfolios.

In 2012, Mr. Petersen founded Soho Income Advisors, a registered investment advisor, and later, Soho Income Fund, LP, the predecessor to the Partnership. The Partnership relies on Mr. Petersen's unique perspective obtained by investing in and advising on a number of different sectors and asset classes during his Wall Street career to help achieve its objective of an average annual return that is superior to that of the S&P 500 without the corresponding increase in volatility.

Mr. Petersen attended Bucknell University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration – Accounting in 1997. He also holds the CFA Institute’s Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
